Drawing with the NXT

The Grade 7 and 8 boys had an excellent lesson today learning how to program their robots to draw shapes.

State Finals 2015

Saturday the 8th August saw 10 dedicated and hard working Emmanuel students rise early for an adventure to Launceston.

Seven primary and three secondary students, Mr Matt Rushton, two parents and a dedicated big sister braved the 6:00 am frosty morning start.

A quick play in Campbell town.
The competition was fierce in the Primary division, with 34  teams from across the state competing. Our best result was a 9th, from the Jelly Eating Machine (Lucy King and Jason McMiles).  Great effort from all competitors.

The team

Emmanuel had two teams competing in the Secondary division.  Micah Roberts and Thomas Dorsett made fantastic progress, just missing the final, and finishing fourth.

Daniel Langlois, competing in his second year, continued to improve and impress and sensationally won the state title in a fiercely contested final
